Soup 4 U (Grand Opening) & Bombay Tandoori & Banquet

We had a weekend food adventures on June 16 2013. It was a weekend full of trying new things like trying Indian food for the first time and attending my friend’s grand opening of their new restaurant called Soup 4 U.

Soup 4 U offers Vietnamese style soups, clam chowder, chili, potato soup, vegetable soup all served in a sour dough bread, salads, and bahn mi sandwiches.

Over the weekend, we went to a restaurant called Bombay Tandoori & Banquet which was a buffet style lunch. It is located in 4111 Pacific Coast Hwy Torrance, CA 90505.
I haven’t tried Indian food because I wasn’t introduced to it and I didn’t know anyone that was Indian. I’ve been wanting to try it after my bf said it was quite delicious and after seeing the pictures on Yelp. My coworkers would talk about the different kind of dishes that made me want to try it. I did try some somosas at my prior job and loved the curry and spice flavors.

On my buffet plate, I had a little bit of everything. I got Saffron rice, Chicken tikka masala, Samosas, Saang Paneer (spinach cooked curry style with homemade cheese), Onion Naan and plain naan, Cauliflower & potato, a glass of champagne. What was great about going to the buffet was trying everything and figuring out what was good and not good. I have to say everything on my plate was great. I would’ve gotten up for a 2nd round but I was stuffed. And I had to make room for dinner at my friend’s new soup & sandwich store.
