Have you been to an 86 Degrees Bakery Cafe? If you’ve been to the one located in Irvine CA at the Diamond Jamboree, you’ll know why there’s a long line just to get in. Luckily, that’s not the only place to get your Taiwanese pastry fixin’ as now the one in Cerritos CA is now opened since January 24, 2014!
This bakery trend was a new concept for me when I first stepped into an 86 Degrees Bakery Cafe. I was lost on what to do because of all the selection of pastries was just in your face, it overwhelms you. Luckily my friend “J” knew exactly what to do and said all I have to do is grab a tray and pile it up with any of the pastries. I remember the blueberry cream cheese pastry caught my attention so I grabbed one right away. I also got a healthy European mixed nut bread and a coffee cake.
Then to top it all off, I ordered the salted coffee which at first I believed was the strangest thing ever. I mean, I really imagined it would be a salty unpleasant drink but boy was I wrong. It was not salty at all and definitely not what I was expecting. The drink was thick, creamy, sweet, frothy and delicious so I would recommend to anyone if you’re skeptical of trying the sea salt coffee. If you’ve ever tried salted caramel chocolate, then this salted coffee will be no surprise to you.
Cerritos 86 Degrees Bakery Cafe specializes in espresso coffee, flavored beverages, decorative cakes, and freshly baked Taiwanese, Japanese, and European breads.
According to their site, there will be opening two more locations as well! One in Buena Park and Torrance.
