Always wonder where you can grab something to eat while you’re at a national park and have no idea where to go? Luckily you’re at the right place because now if you go to Zion, you’ll know exactly where to go for yummy eats.
Oscar’s Cafe is a place to come to when you’re looking for a great dinner after a long day at Zion National Park. It’s an American and Mexican restaurant serving up your favorites such as chips and salsa, guacamole, and delicious dinner options. “G”, “T”, and I were looking for somewhere to eat after our hike at Zion and luckily we remembered a specific one only because the sign for the restaurant is very noticeable as you can tell from the colors below.
There’s outdoor seating and indoor and we chose to sit inside since it was full and too hot to be sitting outside.
At Oscar’s Cafe, they stick with the traditions such as the colorful Mexican mosaic tiles on the counter and throughout the restaurant, chili Christmas lights, artwork, and pottery. It was nice to take the time to look around the surrounding while ordering and waiting for our food.
We were very hungry since the only thing we had for lunch was ice cream after a hot hike at Zion National Park. So we decided to order chips and salsa. Both the red and green salsa were spicy and delicious so we emptied out the chip tray in no time. The waiter was nice enough to bring us another bowl of chips and salsa! That’s why I call it the bottomless chips and salsa and told we had to stop ourselves from eating the entire thing. We would have been too full by the time our order came!
I decided to go for a healthier option and got the Portobello & Avocado Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was delish! This was my first time trying a Portobello and have been meaning to try it for the longest. It was full of flavor and the avocado added that yummy creamy butter taste. I just love sweet potato so of course I love it even more when it’s fried.
“G” ordered the Pastrami sandwich and he loved it. He’s a big fan of anything Pastrami and sauerkraut.
At Oscar’s there are many delicious options like Mahi Tacos, Steak entrée, Chili Burrito with Corn Tortilla, Portobello with fries, and a burger called the Murder Burger because it’s what they call a burger to die for since its made of half pound garlic burger topped with pepper jack and cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, and ketchup.
