I hope everyone had a good weekend as I sure did with lots of great food. The mystery place I went to has been revealed! I went to Zankou Chicken over the weekend since my friend suggested it and said it was really good.
There were a lot of people when we got here as people were ready to get their grub on! I was drooling while I saw the customers picking up their meals in styrofoam containers with a side of hummus in a container and stacks of crispy pita bread…
We were anxious to get our order and they finally called out our number! Our combo meals came with a side of garlic sauce (the best garlic sauce ever!) except for the 1/4 chicken plate and with mountain high stacks of pita bread perfect to rip and dip into the hummus.
I ordered the quarter white chicken plate but you can also order a half chicken or full chicken either white or dark. White chicken is supposed to be healthier for you so I chose that. The quarter chicken was quite meaty and was the perfect portion for me. I got a bit of chicken, wrapped it with pita bread and dipped it in the garlic sauce and the hummus which was just simply amazing.
My boyfriend ordered the Lule (beef kabob) combo meal which was ground steak served with rice, spiced onions, grilled tomato, and pickles.

Zankou Chicken is located at 2424 W Ball Rd Ste S Anaheim, CA 92804 in a shopping center called Town Square (Yes I was thinking it was THE Time Square in NYC!!) They are not only in Anaheim, but also in other locations.
