Happy Wednesday friends! We’re halfway through the week and I’m still catching up on sharing my National Park trip with you all!
It was time to drive to Yellowstone National Park and say goodbye to Jackson. I was going to miss The Tetons as we only spent a couple of days there. Next year I hope to stay here for more than that because there’s a lot of nice trails and sight seeing area.
As we were driving to Yellowstone, we came across Lewis Lake and you wouldn’t believe it was completely frozen! Don’t you think the lake look like you’re standing on clouds!? Even though it was springtime in Yellowstone the lake was still pretty much frozen and it was a great opportunity to take lots of amazing shots. I’ve never seen anything like it so I was happy I was able to witness it.
We drove by one of our favorite falls which is the Lewis Falls. You wouldn’t believe all the snow that was still left over from the winter! Lewis Falls is one of the popular visitor’s destination so of course there were quite a few people. You can walk under the bridge as you can see from the picture above but because of the high water level it was off limits and impossible.
It was fun trying to kick the snow down but it was rock solid!
Just so beautiful.
View of Moose Falls from the top. There’s a stairway that leads down closer to the falls.
The falls was obviously off limits. I heard someone fell in so it’s best to keep your distance from the falls as the current is strong. It took us a while to get to Gardiner Montana where our rental house was at so we stopped by a few places. Last year we were able to check out moose falls but years before it was difficult to locate it on the map. In order to find it you have to drive really slow and look for the sign.
Here’s a glimpse of a part of the Yellowstone Lake, You can just imagine how enourmous it is. Might as well call it the Yellowstone ocean!
Here’s the lake “G” and I named because the last 3 years this lake was filled with lilies and this time there were none! This is a great location to spot beavers and moose but we never had any luck.
Arriving At Gardiner MT~!
We finally made it to our rental house and it was simply beautiful. Here’s a little tour =) The living room was spacious and comforting. They even had jig saw puzzles which “G” and I failed at completing….we both thought some of the pieces were missing. There even was scrabble but we were too lazy to count the scores. We’ll just stick to WordFeud on Android.
Here’s the lovely kitchen. I was so happy there was a kitchen so we can visit the Gardiner Market to cook at home.
There was even a tub here which I didn’t get to use.
From the dining room you can see an overview of the town of Gardiner. I think it was around 8:15 when I took this picture and it’s amazing that there’s still so much sunlight. It was nice to have sunlight until around 9 so we didn’t have to rush driving around the park and hiking.
Hope you enjoyed all the pictures! There’s more to come so stick around. ^__^
