Before we went on this trip, we were discussing about the trails we should hike. Yellowstone Avalanche Peak Trail was definitely on our list and boy, will it kick your butt!
Yellowstone Avalanche Peak Trail is 2 miles one way, but don’t think it’ll be easy. Once you finish, you will have gained about 10,000+ elevation in just 2 miles!
The level is very strenuous and with the thin air, it will be it difficult to breathe.
Be sure to take occasional rests and enjoy the trail as you will see interesting looking trees as well as an amazing view of the snow covered mountains in the back of you.
You can’t help but keep taking pictures every stops you get.
Are you ready up for this challenge if you were planning a trip to Yellowstone? I suggest this trail should be done after you practice other easy to moderate, and then make your way up to this hike. You surely won’t regret the hike after you make it to the top!
