I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Was it just me or did it go by so fast? Friday was full of good eats as you can see all the breakfast items I had.

The Rossmoore fruit tart had such a cute presentation and was as good at it looks. The waffle was plain but I guess I should have added some syrup.

I don’t know about you guys, but the plain cake donuts always catches my attention. I think it has the perfect amount of sweetness without the necessary icing on top of it. It pairs so perfectly with coffee and I’d have to say that’s one of my favorite donuts.

Lunch @ CPK

I wanted something light from California Pizza Kitchen so I ordered the Fire-Roasted Chile Relleno under their “Lite Adventures.” When you look at the pic, it doesn’t look so appetizing but I enjoyed it. The Spicy poblano was stuffed with tiny chunks of chicken, cheese, roasted corn & black bean salsa, wild mushrooms, spinach and eggplant and was topped with house-made avocado salsa verde and cilantro.

The cheese started to harden but it actually was a good texture so the whole dish didn’t seem so mushy. It really did have a kick to it and my nose was runny while eating it. When I got closer to the center I found the culprit made the dish way too spicy and that was the seeds! The seeds should have been taken out but unfortunately CPK did not do that 🙁

Friday Night’s Game Night

It was a Dominion board game kind of night, but before we played, we enjoyed chips with guacamole, wasabi & french onion dip. Then we had some chicken tacos which were simply amazing.

My friend had her awesome Halloween town set up as she did last year! I noticed familiar pieces and some new ones.

I bought the Apple Wood Bacon Gruyere cheese and cheese crackers from Fresh & Easy and thought it was be perfect to bring over for game night. This cheese had me at apple bacon so I knew it would be tasty.

Look at the dark rich color of the cheese! It was so delicious.

My bf and I had a few cooking projects over the weekend and it wasn’t planned until the last-minute. It’s great to be able to do some spontaneous cooking and recipe trying.

Weekend Eats

Saturday Dinner

My bf found a Costco cookbook in the garage and while flipping through the book, we stumbled upon a recipe for potato wedges. The ingredient list had everything we needed and we had plenty of potatoes so we decided to give it a try.

The Parmesian potato wedges were so quick and simple to make and it was delish! I don’t think I’ll ever have to crave potato wedges from Jack in the Box anymore! Not that I did go to Jack In The Box for that recently.

Rice Krispies were great road trip food but my bf and I decided to make it ourselves. It was quite simple and in just about an hour, we had some delicious home-made rice krispies!

I’ll be posting the recipes on a separate post so keep a look out for that. Also, more Yellowstone posts will be coming your way so don’t miss out!
