Growing up, the only European cookies I’ve ever had were those Danish cookies in those tin containers like the Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies. The buttery goodness were always a treat during the holidays. What was great about it was that the cookies are a mix between a sugar cookie and shortbread. Every time I eat one it’s just simply nostalgic.
Walkers Shortbread Fingers was something I’ve been meaning to try for the longest since I’m always making a trip to the World Market and notice these cookies. Luckily they sell ones in a tiny package good for sharing.
These Scottish shortbread reminded me of the Danish cookies and if you like those then these will be a favorite for anyone who tries it for the first time. They’re buttery, crumbly, and has the right amount of sweetness and buttery goodness which will pair nicely with coffee, tea, cold milk and even ice cream! It’s finger sized perfect for dipping into coffee or tea and makes it simply an amazing snacking experience.
Just make sure you only have a couple of cookies because they are heavy, buttery, and high in calories. You can find it on Amazon.com, World Market, and even Wal-Mart and in different varieties such as the Animal Shapes Shortbread, Assorted Shortbread 5.6 oz., Animal Mania, Bonnie Prince Charlie Fingers Tin, Chocolate Scottie Dogs Shortbread, Gleneagles Course Shortbread Assortment, Mini Shortbread Rounds, and much more. Find out more about their product selections on their products page.
