I've always wanted to try
Bruxie after all the hype on Yelp. My boyfriend and I had to find parking else where so we had to do a little walking to make it here. There was a long line as people wanted to get their hands on their delicious waffles that's made with yeast which gives it a crispy, airy, and fluffy texture.
We we were waiting, one of the waiter was suggesting some of their items on the menu. He suggested their special for that day which was the Pulled Pork Waffle Sandwich so my boyfriend ordered that. I ordered the honey chicken waffle because I've been wanting to try the one at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffle and thought it would probably taste like that. I also ordered their iced mocha coffee and surprisingly it paired pretty well with the Honey Chicken Waffle. The chicken was lightly sweet with the honey and just a tad bit crunchy. The waffle was falling apart as I was finishing up the last few bites. Because it's used with yeast, it has a light, fluffy texture and not what you'd expect from a typical Belgian waffle.
"G" was pleased with his order and said it was really good.
