Tustin Brewery is not only a place for drinks but also food. Expect this place to be busy on Friday nights as everyone is getting out of work and looking for a place to chill and grab a few bites and drinks. There’s a pretty good selection of food to grab here, bar eats like Braised Short Rib Tacos, Mozzarella Sticks, Ahi Poke, and Calamari Fritta. For something light there’s soup and salad, and for something to really satisdy your hunger, grab a burger, a sandwich, or pizza.
If you’re a fan of chili, then this Open Faced Chili Burger is for you. It’s made with half pound beef burger and then topped with their award winning chili and cheddar cheese. $10.95. Sounds good right? I tried it and have to say it’s awesome. And the fries are drenched with the chili! It’s messy but worth it.
I wanted a healthy Friday night dinner so I chose the Santa Fe Salad which is garden green mix with chicken and topped with tortilla chips, sweet corn, black beans, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, red onion, and avocado with a side of cilantro dressing. $8.95
The Chuck Wagon is a refreshing cocktail made with Pellegrino, Ballast Point Old Grove Gin with a splash of soda water and a squeeze of lemon water.
Now this drink called the Spiceberry Lemonade is like nothing I’ve tried before. It’s similar to a Bloody Mary because there’s a spicy kick to it, but I thought this was really spicy. Can you spot the green specks in the drink? At first I thought it was watermelon outer shell pieces but now that I found out the name of the drink, there were no watermelon pieces. I believe those are actual jalapeno pieces! It was refreshing and very interesting. I usually get super tired after drinking but this one seemed to keep me awake because of the spice. Would I get it again? Probably not. I think I would rather get a Bloody Mary.
