Thasos Greek Island Grille is located at 3940 S Bristol St Santa Ana, CA 92704 and is hidden in the shopping center where you will instantly notice the World Market, Ross, and other restaurants nearby, but not this restaurant.
My bf and I decided to do something small for our 2nd year anniversary because it fell on a weekday unfortunately 🙁 But we still made the best of it and had a great time. I searched Mediterranean food and noticed this place and the pictures looked delicious.
When we first stepped in, the interior was so cute and fancy that we had no idea if we were supposed to wait and get seated or seat ourselves. The worker told us that we could sit anywhere so we sat next the the walls on the left side of the room which displayed beautiful pictures.
Thasos offers pita combo plates where you can choose from shrimp, lamb, beef, or chicken filled pita, and you can choose you sides like steamed veggies, hummus, salad, and soup. When I saw that they had grilled shrimp, I knew that was going to be it. The shrimp was tangy and flavorful and was perfectly grilled. The salad was simple but satisfying and the pita bread and hummus were simply amazing.
I was glad we spent our anniversary here. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic and was happy with the food.
