Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! It was a great long weekend filled with delicious food, time with family, and just chillin’. You wouldn’t guess where our Thanksgiving meals came from! There were great selections at Costco such as honey glazed ham, chicken pot pie, mashed potato, and so much more. It’s basically the one stop shop for all Thanksgiving meal essentials which sure makes prepping for the big meal so much easier.
Make sure to complete the festivity with Martinelli’s Apple Cider in a fancy shmancy wine glass!
The chocolate croissants from Paris Baguettes were awesome and was a chocolate lovers dream! The best part was that it was flaky and was filled with chocolate inside and drizzled and dipped in chocolate. Tossing the chocolate croissant would’ve made the pastry that much more amazing but that would’be been a little messy so I didn’t even try.
The ham we got from Costco had some special recipe tweaking since we placed round pineapples in between each slice. We also poked in some garlic cloves were used to give that fresh Thanksgiving scent to the ham and to finish it off, pineapple juice was pored all over it.
It’s a Korean tradition to basically eat Korean meal for Thanksgiving. Well at least that’s how it is for my family so we served a popular glass noodle called Jahp chae. You can find them already prepared at your local Korean market and they’re a side dish often served in restaurants or is ordered as an entree. Making jahp chae will be on my to do list!
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we dropped by Mutt Lynch’s in Newport Beach CA since it’s been a long while since we’ve been here. The parking to this place wasn’t too packed yet since it was around 9 or so and I’m guessing people wanted to have their left over Thanksgiving meal for breakfast. This place was quite festive with the Christmas lights on the ceilings and the food was served on a Thanksgiving paper! I thought that was very cute and festive.
Who says you can’t have beer for breakfast?? It was nice that the sun was out so it was nice to just sit inside and look out the window.
Our order took a little longer to get to us so the yummy toast kept my tummy happy for the time being.
I ordered their “twosome” where you can choose from either any kind of pancake (I got the blueberry pancakes) or French toast and with a side of eggs (anyway you want it), bacon, and sausage except I wanted the bacon to replace the sausage. I was so close to ordering their new pancake which is the bacon with chocolate!
My bf ordered the corned beef hash as always.
The weather was great at the beach and as always, it’s tradition to walk on the pier to see what the fishers have caught and to work off a little of what we ate. The tides were low and the birds and people were very close to the shore.
Then it was off to our favorite place Hi-Time Wine Cellars to get wine, beer, and so much more! For sweet wine, choose from their huge selection of Moscato wines. For more expensive ones, you can go down to their wine cellar for wines from around the world!
Now that Thanksgiving came and went, are you prepared for Christmas and the shopping madness? Share your Thanksgiving meal and what was the best part of it?
