[caption id="attachment_17955" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Station's pretty new menu[/caption] Hi friends, Happy Martin Luther King's Day! Since it's Monday that also means it's Munchies Monday with our friend Munchie (shown below!). I named this lil pup that my grandmother got me years ago from Korea and I named him Munchie because it looks like he's munching on something right? [caption id="attachment_17972" align="alignnone" width="600"] Munchie[/caption] Few weeks ago, my friend "J" was down in my hood and wanted to go shopping. We probably shopped around for about 5 hours of so and didn't keep track of time. Time sure flies when you're actually having huh? So after all the walking and shopping we were hungry just in time for dinner. Our usual hangout spot used to be Tea Station but it's been so long since we've been here. [caption id="attachment_17957" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Station Menu[/caption] I couldn't believe how much things changed especially the Tea Station Menu. I never knew there were so much items to choose from if you've got the munchies. There's tasty looking items such as the Honey Brick Toast, Fried Squid Balls, Night Market Sausages, and Fried Tofu. [caption id="attachment_17956" align="alignnone" width="600"] New Tea Station Menu.[/caption] If you want an actual meal, there are options like the Tea Flavored Beef Bowl, Tea Flavored Shredded Pork and Tea Flavored Sausages. The prices may not be right for the portion but hey, the plus side is that they're open until midnight. Even though everything says "Tea Flavored", I don't taste it at all. I think it's all a gimmick and make customers believe it actually tastes like tea. [caption id="attachment_17962" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Station Barley Milk Tea[/caption] Is it just me but when you go to a restaurant, do you usually check out what people's dishes look like? I couldn't help but notice that everyone had their tea served in the fancy shmancy tea pots with a tea-cup, but I was so disappointed that "J" and I got ours served in a MUG!! Ugh, I was not happy. Plus our drinks cooled down so fast since we couldn't down our tea that quickly. I might be exaggerating but it was a cold night. Forgot to mention that I ordered the Barley Milk Tea with Barley powder and "J" ordered just regular Milk Tea. [caption id="attachment_17961" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Flavored Teriyaki Chicken[/caption] I was pretty hungry so I ordered the Tea Flavored Teriyaki Chicken. The chicken was good but the only complaint was that there was a lot of fat on it. I wouldn't have minded if it was fried and crispy. The brocoli was plain but there was enough sauce to flavor it up. There was also a little bit of corn and rice underneath it all. [caption id="attachment_17953" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Station Egg Drop Soup[/caption] The "Tea Flavored" Chicken Teriyaki Chicken comes with the Egg Drop Soup. I thought it was good and it probably tasted better because it was a cold rainy night. [caption id="attachment_17960" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Station Fried Spicy Chicken Wings[/caption] "J" ordered the Tea Station Fried Spicy Chicken Wings. It looks really spicy from the color but it wasn't as spicy as I wanted it to be but we both liked it. Each fried chicken is fried to perfection and the sauce is extremely good. [caption id="attachment_17958" align="alignnone" width="600"] Tea Station Fried Spicy Chicken Wings & Tea Flavored Chicken Teriyaki Bowl[/caption] Oh, I forgot to mention that the Tea Flavored Chicken Teriyaki Bowl also came with a side of small side dishes. The Tea Station Menu states that the side dishes can be anything depending on what's prepared and that day, the side dishes were spicy cabbage, flavored spinach, and squash. Tea Station is located at 11688 South St Ste 101 Artesia, CA 90701 and also many other locations.
