The Starbucks that I went to is located at 38 Prism St Irvine, CA 92618 which is inside an apartment complex called The Village. This is my usual stop if I ever get coffee but this time I wanted to try one of their pastries. As I was glancing over their baked goods, I didn't know what to get but I've been wanting something like a Pain Au Chocolat. The closest thing to that was the chocolate croissant so that was the only thing I ordered. [caption id="attachment_7939" align="alignnone" width="3264"]Chocolate croissant. I was surprised that I had to wait for my croissant as I thought I could get it right away, but the reason for that was Starbucks warms up your croissant! The thought of the warm and crispy croissant with the melted chocolate inside had me excited and anxious to try it. Staring at the oven didn't make things go by faster but shortly after the croissant was tossed into it, I had my warm order in the pretty pink pastry bag. When I tried it, it was nice and gooey on the inside from the chocolate. It really had a lot of chocolate just the way I liked it. The croissant was quite buttery but it wasn't as flaky as I wish it would've been, but that was because I didn't eat it right away. The chocolate croissant has about 340 calories but it was worth every bite. [caption id="attachment_7941" align="alignnone" width="3264"]Chocolate croissant. Photo: Foodwanderer Chocolate croissant. Choose baked items like cheese danish, carrot cake with pecans, chocolate croissants, pumpkin sugar cookie, morning bun, chocolate marble loaf cake, blueberry scone, almond cookie, and much more. Some items looks familiar that Starbucks were serving before partnering with La Boulange, but I'm somewhat excited to try their other items.
