Slater’s 50/50 is the next fancy dining burger joint in the West Coast. By dinner time, the parking lots are filled with eager burger eaters and luckily valet parking was provided at the Huntington Beach location.
The Fried Bacon Mac n’ Cheese Balls is a must have as an appetizer. It’s coated in what seems like panko bread crumbs and fried to golden perfection. Make sure to get the pumpkin dressing dip as it’s will make it seem like it’s Thanksgiving all over again. You can taste the pumpkin spices and the dip it’s slightly sweet, but the saltiness from the Mac N’ Cheese really balances out the salty and sweet flavors.
I can taste and smell why it’s called Vampire Dip. The dip is filled with great garlicky flavors served warm in a bread bowl with a side of fried delicious pita bread and the crusty sourdough bread.
Pittsburgh Pastrami is a huge sandwich filled with a ton of deli meats, fries, and dijon mustard is slathered on the brick toast.
A popular burger menu is the Peanut Butter and Jellyously and the name simply implies what in the burger. It may seen like an odd ingredient but that’s what makes this burger unique and a must try.
Spicy food fans will love the Sriracha burger. This is probably only a seasonal or limited time item so make sure you try this one as it will kick your butt. The patty has the spicy Sriracha sauce and for an additional kick, you can use the sauce packet which comes with the order.
Another burger for spicy lovers is the Jalapeno burger which is filled with fried jalapeno slices.
There’s bacon salt in case your burger wasn’t bacony enough or want your fries to taste like smokey bacon.
The place has its own bar so don’t feel bad if you’re tempted to order a drink. Or two.
When you’re at Slater’s 50/50, you can choose to have whatever you want. Choose from either their menu or you can create your own burger from the done-ness of the patty, the type of bread, dressings, toppings, and so much more.
