I hope everyone had a fun filled weekend with plenty of good foods to eat! I sure did 🙂 On Sunday, we had a Sunday fun-day BBQ! By popular demand, my boyfriend’s family wanted him to make his Sky High Cheesy Beer Burgers. We stopped by the market to pick up some buns and a few things and we were ready to make the burgers.

We used his homemade Canadian beer from “Mr. Beer” home brewery system that he and I brewed together a few weeks ago. The beer was added to the red onion compote as well as in the ground beer. Of course you wouldn’t be able to taste the beer once the patties are grilled and the onions were caramelized, but it does give the burgers and onion a really good flavor.

If you’d like the recipe, you can contact me and I’d be glad to share!

Also on Sunday, we made some home made potato bread since I haven’t had any for a while. We got all the ingredients together, popped it into the bread maker, and it was ready in 4 hours.
