Seattle Washington: Place For Good Eats and Adventures – Day 2
I was finally able to check out the breakfast provided by Hampton Inn so I woke up extra early to make sure I get some warm fresh breakfast. There were so much to choose from like yogurt, cereal, toasts, bagels, hash browns, omelets, and also oatmeal if you were feeling healthy. There were also fresh fruits, orange juice, and milk. Instead I got a cup of coffee because I’m a big coffee person. Nothing says relaxation like coffee in the morning with breakfast.
The waffle iron instantly caught my attention so I poured myself a cup of the batter and watched as the iron was sizzling my waffle. I grabbed an omelet, a cup of oatmeal with a little bit of almonds drizzled on top of it, and a blueberry Greek yogurt and an apple to snack on later.
It was another day perfect to spend some time in the city and discover what else is around. I decided to go to a Target near by and then I noticed this market across the street. It was a Korean market called “Emart” and not “Hmart” like the ones we have here in Cali.
I didn’t know where to go next, but I really wanted to go to the Space Needle since everyone always talk about it. I was debating if I wanted to drive all the way to Seattle, which was about 20 miles from the hotel, but my bf convinced me to go. Why not go there when I had all the time in the world AND I was in Washington!
Tada! I was able to get my car in the valet parking and I was able to take this awesome shot of the Space Needle! I was so excited to be here and to just look up this massive structure.
I was wandering about the area and saw a popcorn stand so I decided to buy some and take a pic of the popcorn bag and the Space Needle together. 🙂
After I took a ton of pictures of the Space Needle, I decided to roam about the area. I happened to go into the Seattle Center Armory which has a bunch of places to eat.
As you walk through the area, you will hear music from performers. These guys were creating quite a crowd with their Latino music. I also heard a Chinese instrument being played by a man sitting at one of the benches.
You would have thought you were in a world with Star Wars because there was a person dressed up as a storm trooper and Darth Vader. I would’ve taken a picture but I think they would’ve wanted a tip.
Not only is there the Space Needle attraction, but there is also the Pacific Science Center kids can learn a lot about science through the exhibits, lectures, camps, research weekends, shows, and so much more.
Of course there’s an admissions to the Pacific Science Center.
Near the Space Needle are a bunch of other places to check out. There’s the Chihuly Garden And Glass and you’ll have to purchase a ticket to see it so I just checked out their souvenir shop.
I had no idea that the KOMO news station was here. I noticed as I was waiting to get the valet worker to bring my car. The helicopter was starting up and I was hoping to get a pic of it lifting, but of course, as I was paying for the parking, it flew up and left. 🙁
