Have you guys heard about Roscoe’s Chicken And Waffles opening in Anaheim CA? Remember my last post about the Roscoe’s New Location about when and where they were going to open this highly popular Soul Food restaurant? Well I’m happy to announce that it’s finally opened in 2110 S Harbor Blvd Anaheim, CA 92802, not too far from Disneyland! It has been one of my foodie dream to eat at Roscoe’s Chicken And Waffles after seeing many pictures of chicken and waffles together on a plate for breakfast and of course, because I heard about this when I watched the movie Rush Hour where Jackie Chan and his buddy Chris Rock plays the hilarious FBI agents. After all these years I was finally able to try THE Roscoe’s chicken and waffle, though I’ve had other chicken and waffle plates at Bruxies and also Town Restaurant in San Francisco.
The new location for the restaurant is pretty cool because there’s two floors and you can see the patio seating at the entrance. People were already lined up to get seated but the staff was quick and grabbed us a table. Interesting sight was that there was a whole lot of security guard in the morning hours. I guess it’s just for safety reason before people get too crazy for chicken and waffles.
My friend “T” ordered the ‘Scoe’s #1 (1/4 Chicken & 2 waffles) which is pretty big place which comes with a chicken wing, chicken breast, and two buckwheat waffles to feed someone with a big appetite! There’s a lot to choose from here like the Obama Special which is served with 3 chicken wings & 1 waffle, Big Mama Special, Carol C. Special, #1. 1/4 chix with 2 waffles., Corn Bread, Mac N Cheese, Chicken chile fries., and so much more!
“G” ordered the Home Style Chicken Sausage and Waffles. It’s served with two chicken sausages and a buttermilk waffle topped with melting butter and a side of syrup.
I ordered the Leg and Waffle which was the perfect amount. My foodie bucket list was to try the waffle and really savor each bite and the chicken to see what all the buzz was about. I really enjoyed my breakfast place but now I know what it tastes like. If I had to choose a chicken and waffle place I’d prefer Bruxies.
