Ramen Sora is a tiny Japanese ramen joint hidden in China Town Las Vegas where everyone is lining up to try. I never would’ve heard or seen the place if it wasn’t for “G”. This is definitely a hidden treasure for authentic Japanese ramen which brings the recipe from Japan to your ramen bowl. The menu is quite simple, just pick your ramen choices like Deluxe Sora Miso Ramen, Spicy Miso Ramen, Mini Chasu Bowl, Gyozas, Shoyu Ramen, Nori Ramen, Chashu Miso Ramen, and a few more. “G” really wanted me to try this place since he went here the last time and really enjoyed it.
It was my first time trying the Sapporo ramen which is like no other ramen I’ve ever tried. Thick, very chewy, and denser compared to other Japanese ramen joints, but made it into a whole new experience. The scent of the bamboo was really strong and I wasn’t too big on it. I like the bamboo shoots in the ramen bowl from Shin Sen Gumi but the one here was too strong so I gave it to “G”. Every time I go to a ramen joint, I look forward to the hard boiled egg because it’s brown because it’s left in soy sauce for a while so it soaks up all the flavor. The chashu pork just melts in your mouth, and the broth is rich in flavor and delicious.
Even though it was a really busy night, the staff was friendly, quick and very attentive. When we go to Japanese ramen shops, we usually like to get the Gyozas which are fried Japanese dumplings. I was happy to see 5 big gyozas, super hot in the center, and extra crispy. When you order gyozas, be sure to dip it in the soy sauce mixed with vinegar and sesame seeds. It’s so awesome and delicious. Just the thought of the sauce makes my mouth water. I’m SO SAD that my camera wasn’t really working right so I wasn’t able to take a picture of “G” yummy bowl of Spicy Miso Ramen and the Gyozas.
Oh well, next time it is, just another reason to go 😛 But in all seriousness, I suggest any ramen lover to check this place out. You won’t re disappointed.
