You can tell this is very popular as the line kept getting bigger and bigger. When you step in, you’ll immediately notice the staff mixing up the pile of Sumi salad which will make you salivate. What’s Sumi Salad you might ask? It’s pure deliciousness made with green cabbage, purple cabbage, carrots, green onions, almonds, crunchy noodles, sesame seeds.
This is my second time here and I was excited to try something new. Last year I ordered the Tofu Salad and thought it was just decent.
“G” ordered the Beef Teriyaki which comes with a veggie skewer, side salad, side Sumi Salad, tempura veggies, and comes with a side of California Rolls. Look at all the veggie tempura! The tempura was just piled on top of the beef teriyaki that the rice had to be put in a separate container. There were kabocha pumpkin (my favorite), sweet potato, squash, and bell peppers. For all this, you only pay about around $8.99, so the next time we’ll know we can just share a plate. I noticed the couple next to us was sharing and when “G” arrived with all the containers, we really looked like fatties.
Unfortunately there was imitation crab in the California roll so “G” gave me the entire side. I didn’t care much for the rolls but when I tried it, I though they were yummy since it wasn’t packed with a lot of rice as fillers.
