I stumbled upon these Quakers Caramel Corn Rice Cakes at the market and it was calling to me so I decided to give it a try. It reminded me of the Korean Rice Crackers except with caramel flavoring so I wanted to see how they tasted.

For only 50 calories per cake, you can be somewhat satisfied with the sweetness and a bit of saltiness in each bite. But you do have to be careful how much you end up eating because you may end up eating the whole bag like I did.

I’ve been reading a lot about these so-called “healthy” snacks and how they’re actually not that good for you. These rice cakes may be low cal, but it sure can add up and can lead to blood sugar spike which you’ll then crave more of it.

On the plus side, they’re gluten free and has 5g of whole grains. If you’re satisfied with just having one or two, these will definitely be a good go to snack when you need something that’s a bit sweet and salty.

Have you ever tried any other Quakers Corn Rice Cakes? I think the next ones I want to try are the White Cheddar & Chocolate Crunch!
