Prospectors Brewing Company is located in Northern California at a place called Murphys CA which is known to be the “next Napa Valley” as it is surrounded by wineries, wine tasting, shops, many places to eat, and a lot of history as well. I discovered this place since “G”, my friends, and I recently went on a roadtrip to my friend’s ranch. It was such an experience to see how the drive through NorCal and see what it was like. I’ve never done a road trip to Norcal, just to Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana, so as a Cali native it was nice to see how it was like.
I really like the name Prospectors which means someone who explores an area in search of oil, gold, or other mineral deposits. Prospectors Brewing Company takes a modern approach by creating contemporary taprooms that brings back the nature of these towns during the gold rush.
There are some cool Prospectors clothing and other gears.
I really loved the artwork on the chalkboard. It’s colorful, artistic, and makes it fun to choose a Flight tasting menu.
Not only can you sample beer here but you can enjoy it with some food as well!
Here is the name of just some that we’ve tried. One of my favorite was the Mariposa Misnight – Oaked & Smoked Stout because it tasted like chocolate, coffee, and was extra creamy.
Do you see the two darkest ones on the Flight Sampler? I believethose are the milk stouts which were my favorites.
Here’s the aftermath of the tasting. It was a great experience to be able to try many different kinds of beer.
We enjoyed the Japanese beer so we had one to go in this cool looking Growler.
When you park and walk towards where all the shops are at, don’t forget to visit the prison.
