Daelmans Jumbo Waffles has been calling to me ever since I landed my eyes on it from Cost Plus World Market. Every time I make a visit to this awesome market, this yummy looking snack keeps staring me down…actually I’m staring it down. I just had to try this popular European snack already! Did you know it’s a product of Holland and is a Dutch favorite? This is my first time trying a Holland dessert.
When I unwrapped it I expected it to see light and crispy, but it was definitely not what I expected. I broke it in half to see how the texture is like and to my surprise, the waffle is sticky from the caramel and is nice and buttery and the inside is just creamy caramel made to perfection. It is a delicious wafer filled with creamy melt in your mouth caramel! No matter how hot or cold it was, the caramel was always creamy and decadent. I don’t know what I can compare this snack to because it’s just that unique. Oh my goodness, they should consider making a caramel cream in a jar, just like Nutella, but instead, creamy caramel you can spread on cookies, crackers, of bread! Doesn’t that just sound awesome? It doesn’t sound too healthy but remember, portion control is key.
The Daelmans Jumbo Waffles is perfect to enjoy with tea or coffee or to have as a sweet snack or dessert. Each Daelmans Jumbo Waffles has 120 calories. There’s even Little bags of the Daelmans Waffles as well if you want something with fewer calories.
