So I sampled the Ferraro Rocher and Cookie Butter ice cream and just had to get it! Of course the name is what drew me in the beginning but also the flavor did as well. The only thing I wish the Ferraro Rocher had been actual chunks of the candy itself. Now that would have been a toffee heaven.
As “G”, my friends “E” and “R” and I were waiting for our order, we decided to check out the walls. There are pictures on the wall of the ice cream shop at all the different locations. It’s a chain ice cream shop located in 3 locations Montrose, Long Beach, & Bella Terra, Huntington.
There’s a little history of the ice cream shop inside the cafe. It first opened its doors not in California but in Nørregade, Århus, Denmark back in 2000. So you know it’s legit Danish ice cream. Then in 2003, another cafe was opened in Copenhagen, Denmark on Sankt Hans Torv in Nørrebro. The cafe was so successful that it opened another cafe in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
So when did Paradis come to California? It was in 2009 that Paradis ice cream came to Los Angeles so now we can all enjoy this wonderful ice cream that originated from Denmark.
