Oyster Bar is located at Palace Station Hotel & Casino 2418 W Sahara Blvd.

I was surprised at how tiny this place was and didn’t expect it to literally be a bar inside the Palace Station Hotel! The tiny bar sits around 20 people (guesstimating) at a time, so expect to wait in a line because there will be a lot of hungry people even at 11pm! As you wait in line, it becomes a tease since you can see the people eating as well as smell the Cajun spices. BUT it sure was worth the close to 2 hour wait and don’t worry about what time it is because they’re opened 24/7.

The plus side of waiting is that you can checkout what people ordered and see what looks the most appetizing. It also gives you time to look over the menu and decide what you want because trust me, you will keep changing your mind. The popular dishes at the Oyster Bar are the Pan Roasts like the Palace Pan Roast, Combo Pan Roast, Shrimp Pan Roast, Crab Pan Roast, and Lobster Pan Roast which is 19.99-21.99. There’s also classic Cajun dishes like gumbo which is what my bf ordered.

For something light, especially for those late night dinner, there’s salads, soups, and appetizers. And since you’re in Vegas, there are drinks like Shocktop, Bloody Mart, Tequila, Vodka, and Oyster shooters!

As you wait for your food to be prepared, the one chef is hard at work steaming up 5 orders at a time! Fresh ingredients are placed on top of a bed of ice and in the fridge where everything is visible to the people sitting at the bar.

The sourdough bread which is served before you get your order was warm, soft on the inside, and flavorful and will keep the hunger away until the food arrives.

My bf is no seafood eater so he got the chicken gumbo even though the broth is made of clams I believe. I took a sample of it and it was bursting with flavors from the spices, chicken, and so much other things in the dish.

I ordered the steamed New Zealand Mussel plate after debating whether or not to order the Shrimp cocktail or the half dozen oysters. The mussels were served in a big bowl with such flavorful broth with a strong garlic taste which is exactly why I liked it so much.

Do you love seafood enough to wait a long time for The Oyster Bar in Vegas?
