Cheap Eats At Mos 2 Teriyaki Joint

Ever heard of Mos 2? If you haven’t you probably smelled the teriyaki chicken being Bar-B-Qued. It’s a small chain hole in the wall kind of place that serves up Teriyaki bowls, Teriyaki combo meals which comes with salad, gyoza, and an egg roll. They’re located throughout Orange County in Anaheim, Santa Ana, and some other spots. To order, you just go up to the counter and order from the menu. There’s no indoor seating, only outdoor. At least the one that’s located in Anaheim. I believe there’s indoor seating for the Santa Ana location.

I only found out about this place because “G” used to go with his buddies back in the day. This is the unhealthier version of Chop Teriyaki which no longer exists because it was burnt down.

I was disappointed to see that they raised their prices. It’s obvious because the menu up top had the new prices just pasted over the old one. But it’s still cheap for the amount of food you get! You get a bang for your bucks. “G” usually orders the Chicken Teryaki combo which comes with gyoza, egg roll, and salad, but he instead ordered a half salad. So we were able to share. What I love about the salad the most is the sauce. Wish I knew what it was made of. It’s tangy and sweet which is the perfect combination for salad dressing.

I ordered the small Teriyaki Bowl and it may look small but it’s not. They pack in the rice and the delicious teriyaki chicken. They’re generous with the extra teriyaki sauce and hot sauce to go.

I enjoy eating most my meals with chopsticks 🙂 It’s available there so be sure to ask. We ate our dinner at our friend “R”s home while watching Battle Star Galactia (unsure which one it was). I’ve never seen that movie before but it was quite entertaining. After that we of course plated the Small World Board Game as well as the DC deck building game.
