Happy Wednesday everyone, we’re halfway through the week! I was able to go to the Maurice Carrie Winery At Temecula CA for the first time. My friends and I met up at her place and she served us delicious pastries for breakfast. It was a really good idea to get something in our stomach since we were planning to drink up.
I’ve never been wine tasting before so I was uber excited to see what it’s all about and experience it. As we were driving along all the different wineries, we dropped by the Maurice Carrie Winery because my friend said they serve Baked Brie.
I had my Canon Rebel T3I ready to snap pictures of everything in sight. I was a total wine tourist! There were a lot to see inside the cute tasting area as there were goodies what goes well with wine such as olives, green beans, baby corn, nuts, chives, and so much more.
At Maurice Carrie Winery, they offer many different wines such as the 2013 Riesling, 2013 Chardonnay, 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, 2012 Chenin Blanc, Heather’s Mist NV, 2012 VR Viognier, 2012 White Zinfandel, 2012 Moscato, 2012 Sara Bella, Cody’s Crush NV, 2011 MC Merlot, 2010 Syrah, 2012 MC Cabernet Sauvignon, Maurice Carrie California Champagne, Sweet Kai and California Sparkling Wine with flavors like Pineapple, Peach, Pomegranate, and Raspberry.
Also, you can take advantage of their deal where you can buy by the case for a 20% discount. You can mix and match if you wish as well! The lady that was serving us was kind enough to give us each a wine glass we used to sample the wines.
My friends and I really enjoyed all of the wine, but I was always a fan of the sweeter and the sparkling variety so I had to buy some bottles of different flavored Champagne. The peach was probably my favorite as you can really taste the fruitiness the most. I was not able to try the pomegranate but since I saw the bottle, I decided to get it.
After we had our wine tasting, we headed over to Vanroekal Winery which is the sister winery to Maurice Carrie. It was just a short drive there and so we were ready for our next wine sampling.
Maurice Car’rie Winery is open for tasting every day from 10 am to 5 pm. They are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
