“G” and I went to Van’s Bakery to pick up a cake for the birthday girl. They had a ton of beautiful cakes and my bf pointed out cakes that were as tall as me! I wish I could decorate cake and open my own bakery shop.
Kashiwa Sushi Restaurant first opened it’s doors on August 1st, 2011 so it’s fairly new but if good sushi experience is what you’re looking for then this is the place. My friend “W” chose this place to celebrate our friend’s birthday since she loves sushi. Sushi is one of my favorite cuisines so I was excited to try a recently opened restaurant. It had high ratings on Yelp so I knew my friend made the right choice.
The Chirashi $21.95 is beautifully presented by the colorful and fresh sashimi and veggies. It may look like a small order but it’s satisfying and delicious. Savoring each bite and appreciating it is the key.
They have a list of sushi items to choose from and other non-seafood items so check out their menu.
If you don’t want any seafood items, then the Beef Dinner plate is an option. It comes with a lot of stuff as you can see from the picture below It comes with a bowl of rice with just the right portion, veggie tempura, salad, and the beef plate. He really enjoyed the dish and was satisfied.
The cake I bought for my friend drew my attention because of the fruit arrangement. I wish I could’ve taken a picture of the cake, but it was a hit with everyone that arrived for dinner. This bakery just might be my go to cake shop!
