Do you always find yourself grabbing nutritional bars for your busy or active life but see that it’s so full of sugar? The purpose of nutrition bars is to provide nutrients, energy, and convenience less the added sugar but many bars on the market is packed with unnecessary sugar. I was on a journey to find bars that weren’t just packed with sugar.
These bars are GMO-free, 100% natural, soy-free, and low in sugar (just 7g of sugar) I was lucky enough to get some samples from Journey Bar. Once I saw the three flavors I received in the mail I just couldn’t wait!
Coconut Curry: Come with me to imagine we’re off to Thailand. So this coconut curry bar has the aroma ofcurry, paprika, and the spices are really strong and is very noticeable once you open the package. “G” and I sampled it and he wasn’t a big fan. At first I thought the scent was just too overwhelming but after a couple more taste test, I grew to like it. The bar is very light, not too sweet just the way I like it, its crumbly, and yummy. It took few seconds to get used to the taste but I really like it. It wasn’t too crunchy. After a few more bites I can taste the coconut. It was like eating Thai coconut curry as the coconut curry wrap shows Thailand.
Rosemary: Now lets take a Journey to Italy as we move onto the rosemary bar. I expected more Rosemary flavor but it wasn’t noticeable. Its also crumbly, and get more crunch compared to the curry.
Seasalt: Last but no least lets head over to the States for the Sea Salt. It’s definitely a lot more saltier than the other two. Tastes just like Rosemary excluding the Rosemary taste. There are other flavors such as Almond Sea Salt, Sesame Ginger, and Pizza Marinara. I would love to try all the other ones for sure! So the next time it’s snack time, busy, or going out for a long hike, be sure to grab some Journey Bars on your journeys!
