Tasty Thursday: Istanbul Grill California

The waiter was extremely nice and as I was taking a bite of "G"s plate, I can hear our waiter explaining to the couple behind of what a specific menu was made of. It's always impressive when a waiter really loves what he does and knows a lot about the dishes.  This joint servers Turkish, Mediterranean, and Halal dishes.

We tore a piece of the triangular bread and dipped it into the oil and scooped up a little bit of the chunky stuff in it. I took a piece of the kabob and he gave me a heads up that the ground meat has a mix of lamb. "Oh it's okay, I'm fine with lamb" I said. I've tried Gyros which is made out of lamb and I was im fine with it. "G" was taking a bite out of my Chicken Shish Kebob and said "This is really good too". Both of our plates comes with a good portion of lightly salted rice, purple cabbage, that was pickled, Stir-fried veggies, and Roasted Bell Pepper and tomato.
