After a long hike at the Cougar Crest Trail, we needed to grab lunch since we worked up an appetite! We pulled out the restaurant guide and decided to try this place.

When you step into the restaurant, you will instantly take notice of the decorations on the walls because they’re colorful with the yellow and red tone curtains as well as mirrors making the room look visually bigger. The mirrors fooled me into thinking it was bigger than it was but there’s actually two more areas for seating. You can’t help but admire the Indian and Nepalese art scrolls and traditional elements all over the restaurant.

Himalayan Restaurant- Indian and Nepalese Food has good lunch options for vegetarian, meet lovers, and if you want a good portion. If you’re opting for a larger portion you can order from their dinner selection. I checked out their lunch specials and the herb chicken caught my eyes.

It comes big a huge basket of warm naan bread, but it was not as crispy as I wanted it to be, a small side of salad with a cilantro like dressing, a small vegetable/potato curry, and lentil soup. There weren’t a lot of chicken but it was more than enough. Each bite was flavorful because of how all the spices just livens up the whole item.

My bf ordered the chicken salad which is mixed with mushroom, cucumber, tomatoes, topped with baked white chicken cubes, homemade cheese squares which was so delicious, and then tossed in Himalayan style dressing.

I would love to return to this restaurant when it snows so I can enjoy the warm and hot naan bread along with the delicious warm soups.
