So what’s all the buzz about Hash House A Go Go? Well it’s quite simple. The line for this place will tell you that it’s super popular and it’s not just rush house. Hungry people are line up early in the morning, even in Las Vegas to get a big taste of this place because let me tell you, portions are not small. This joint was featured on the Food Channel and the Travel Channel. That’s why there are some menu items that are named after Andy from Man VS Food.
The walls are filled with picture frames of all the celebs that has shown up and even left their autograph!
They go by the motto, “…keep the fun in food while pulling from the experiences of farm fresh agriculture, live stock, and old recipes with a twist.” Now that’s what I’m talking about.
“G” and I arrived here one morning but it was too long of a wait. The wait was around 45 minutes but we were too hungry to wait that long. Then we tried out luck the day after and arrived earlier. We got so lucky that the wait was only 15 minutes.
Since our waiter suggested the HH original, I decided to go with that. This place is just phenomenal, presentation wise as well as the taste. It’s not your typical Benedict though as there are no ham or English muffin. It’s two giant biscuits on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and then drenched in chipotle sauce.
HH original is made w/smoked bacon, fresh tomato, fresh spinach, roasted red pepper cream and topped w/ two basted eggs
There’s a few slices of oranges and cantaloupe on the side and is garnished with leeks, green onions, rosemary, and this crunchy pasta like stick.
I was simply amazed at the size and presentation of the chicken and waffles plate! It is the biggest plate I've ever seen in my life! It's just a massive tower of yummyness. The 3 waffles are filled with crispy bacon, the Fried Sage Crusted Chicken was really flavorful and crispy while the inside of the chicken was juicy and it paired well with the fried leeks and maple syrup. It's truly perfect for a Man V Food Challenge. [caption id="attachment_16871" align="alignnone" width="600"] Andy's sage fried chicken and waffle[/caption] Even the plate is beautifully decorated. Now the tough part was trying to eat it! Cheers to the brilliant person who thought that waffles and fried chicken would pair so deliciously together 🙂
