I’ve been meaning to try out Guy Fieris Vegas Kitchen & Bar since last year after I happened to spot it while looking around for breakfast. Unfortunately at that time, the line was long. But finally “G” and I were able to finally try this place out which is located inside Planet Hollywood.
The wait wasn’t long at all, we were here around 9am? We sat right next to the window with the nice view of The Strip. I already had my Starbucks Soy Latte so I didn’t need my coffee.
Instead, I just for a glass of water. I was so amused by the perfectly square ice cubes. Nowadays you only see rounded “cubes”.
Here is the brunch menu, I like how it’s not overwhelming. I wish I could’ve saw other restaurant goer’s plate but people were waiting on their food too.
I didn’t know what to choose from, pancakes, waffles, or burrito. Then I saw the Carne Asada Chilaquiles $16. I have amazing homemade ones but I wanted to see how these were. The Chilaquiles is served with two sunny side up eggs ,tortilla pieces tossed with Guy’s signature roasted rojo salsa, fried fire-roasted poblanos, crumbled Cotija chees, grilled steak, topped with crema, with a side of sliced avocados.
It’s also served with this sweet watermelon juice. I’m not sure what the point of that was as the flavor doesn’t go well with anything. Overall, this plate was just okay. This is definitely not the authentic chilaquiles that I’m used to.
“G” ordered an orange juice and the Breakfast Sausage, Bacon & Eggs $15 where you get two eggs any way, two slices of apple wood smoked bacon, two links of chicken apple sausage, house made fries (the best cubed fries ever!), and a warm sage biscuit. The best of this place was the amazing cubed fries. It brought back memories of my childhood when I had these awesome curly fries at school.
My overall experience here was cool and it was a delicious experience. I would like to come back for the Maple Bacon French Toast and the burgers.
