Grand Lux Cafe in Las Vegas is a perfect spot to grab breakfast or any meal of the day since it’s open 24 hours! “G” and I were lucky to get seated in less than 15 minutes even though the line to the place was out the door! It is owned by the Cheesecake factory, but their menu isn’t that insanely large. After our failing attempt to go to Hash House A Go Go the first time, we decided to walk a little and try this place out.
While you may get seated pretty quick, your food won’t be served quickly. The interior is quite nice and the lights are dim so it sets a pretty romantic scene, but with all the waiters walking around and the hungry customers getting up and back down makes it a loud and lively setting as well.
I was excited to order more than just coffee and went for the cappuccino. I always get it with either almond milk or soy milk, but the waiter took my order and rushed off before I could ask for the substitute. The order took long and I was very disappointed in the froth. It was more like bubbles and not what I expected. Doesn’t it look like dish wash bubbles? 😡 I could’ve made better cappuccino with my Aerolatte Milk Frother.

While our orders took a while, it was nice to see what people ordered. I wanted to get something extra special and when I saw the Grand Lux Cafe French toast which is made of EXTRA thick slices of Brioche Bread, I knew I had to get it. The toast is so massive that the waiter even had to ask me if the size of the French toast was okay. I thought that was rather odd but I happily said I was okay with that. Helloooo, more food the better because that means leftovers!
Then it was the big moment when I got mine, and my goodness, the French Toast was like none I’ve ever seeen! I was shocked at the how massive it was. The only way I can explain how the toast tastes like, it’s like the King’s Hawaiian Bread, the whole loaf in the tin pan, and is soaked with condensed milk! Each bite is seriously pure heaven but unfortunately it gets your stuffed. I just had to save the other half for lunch and that’s exactly what I did. I can also compare this dish to the Thres Leches Cake but with more of a soaked bread texture. So delicious non-the less.

"G" ordered the Corned Beef Hasn Omelet and you won't believe that it's actually made with visible shreds of corned beef! Of all the breakfast joints we've been to, I never saw corned beef like the one here. It's great stuff. He really enjoyed the plate.
