Foodie Friday: Fronk’s Restaurant

Fronk’s Restaurant has been in Bellflower for the longest but I never went there until they moved to their new location. The restaurant is super trendy with a bar with large tv screens, old school lunch pails on the walls as well as signed currency framed on the wall, lots of hot sauces to choose from at the center of the restaurants, and outside seating with fire heat lamps. This place is known for their burgers but they offer so much more than just burgers such as southern dishes like the Beer Battered Corn On The Cob, Beer Batter Chicken Strips, Buffalo Chicken Ranch Sandwich, Citrus Dijon Grilled Chicken Skewers, Shrimp & Chips, Full Rack Baby Back Ribs, and Mac N Cheese. But don’t overlook their awesome burger selections such as the The Ha’BULL’nero burger which is stupid hot, The Red-Eye Piggy, Burger Meister, and the Maple Bacon Cheese Burger.

It was around 5 when we arrived so we enjoyed 1/2 off of beer, wine, and appetizers. "G" ordered Sam Adams.  I first ordered Chardonnay and then Red Wine which is how you should drink wine. You want to go from white wine to red, not the other way around. [caption id="attachment_17495" align="alignnone" width="600"]Spicy Bacon Cheddar Fries $7.95 Fronk's Spicy Bacon Cheddar Fries $7.95[/caption] Just look at this massive portions of the Fronk's Spicy Bacon Cheddar Fries $7.95. And you won't believe it's actually quite spicy. There are a lot of jalapenos underneath all the cheesy goodness and it will burn. The bacon bits are crispy, there are just so much melted cheese, and the dip is also quite spicy as well. I think the sauce is some kind of chipotle spicy dip. [caption id="attachment_17494" align="alignnone" width="600"]Beer Battered Zucchini Sticks 4 Piece $4.95 Fronk's Beer Battered Zucchini Sticks 4 Piece $4.95[/caption] "G" and I were originally going to order the 6 piece but good thing we didn't because each of these Beer Batter Zucchini Sticks are massive. It's deliciously crispy and be careful when you bite into it because the zucchini is super hot. The appetizer comes with two sides of ranch dip. [caption id="attachment_17496" align="alignnone" width="600"]Slow Roasted Pulled Pork and Smoked Sausage $14.95 Fronk's Slow Roasted Pulled Pork and Smoked Sausage $14.95[/caption] "G" ordered the Slow Roasted Pulled Pork and Smoked Sausage with a side of Smoked Sausage Chili and Baconblue Salad. My goodness, one bite out of the Pulled Pork just melts in your mouth and has to possibly be the best tasting one yet. Even "G" agrees that this is the best we've had so far. There's the perfect smoked flavor, good amount of sweetness, and pulls apart so easily. [caption id="attachment_17502" align="alignnone" width="600"]Smoked Sausage Chili and Baconblue Salad $9.95 Fronk's Smoked Sausage Chili and Baconblue Salad $9.95[/caption] I ordered the  Smoked Sausage Chili and Baconblue Salad and also comes with a side of chips which is perfect to dip into the Chili. The Chili was spicy and had chunks of sausage, lots of beans, chili peppers, and topped with sour cream and cheese. The Baconblue salad had lots of blue cheese crumbles which made it quite salty but the tomatoes helped balance it. There were also some bacon bits. Fronk's Restaurant is located at 16922 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706.
