Switchback Grille & Trading Company is a breakfast joint located at Zion, before you actually get into Zion National Park. We stayed at the Best Western Hotel and this place was adjacent to the breakfast joint so we decided to try this place out. We arrived for the breakfast buffet which serves over 30 breakfast items. There are toasts, oatmeal bagels, pastries, pancakes, waffles, French Toasts, personalized omelets, fruits, yogurt, cottage cheese, and a few other things. It wasn’t too packed when we arrived so we were able to grab our plate of food pretty quickly. 

Here was my first plate of breakfast food items. I just grabbed a bunch of stuff to sample. I really liked the way the flower waffles looked because I’ve never seen anything like it. Nothing on the plate was that special for the price. The buffet is quite expensive so I made sure to make the best of the money spent. 

I decided to be a bit healthier with my 2nd plate so I got some fruits and a bowl of cottage cheese. I could tell just by looking at the mandarin  and grapefruit that it was straight out of the can. Also I could tell by how sweet it was. The watermelon was old as it was slimy and the strawberries were old as well… It makes me sad to see old strawberries =( At least the cottage cheese wasn’t too bad. 

“G” got a glass of orange juice and of course, I got coffee with creamer. I wish they had the International Delights creamer but they just had regular creamer.

I had a few complaints of the quality of the food, but the view of the outdoors while you eat breakfast is amazing. The picture above was taken while we were enjoying our breakfast and the sun was beginning to shine over the red mountains of Zion.
