Hi friends! So I’m about many weeks late on uploading my YouTube video for my friend’s 70s Disco themed party! I had to do a bit of research on what people wore and what the style was like during the disco era. The 70s was full of vibrant colors and patterns so I just knew that as long as I had a lot of colors and curls I’d be all right.
To get ready for the party, “G” and I watched Saturday Night Fever to learn the dance moves and I couldn’t believe how young John Travota was. He always played the good guy until I saw some movies where he was always the bad guy. But I guess with age, he needed a different role and doesn’t have his disco figure any more.
I was wishing there would be a disco dance floor and to my surprise, there was one! Yes there was an actual disco dance floor! There was great music played by the DJ with songs from AC/DC, Bee gees, other famous disco jams as well as some from the 80s.
OMG I really loved the cheese varieties. There were Brie, Apple, Blueberry, other ones I can’t remember the name of, and also some jams.
There was even a Disco themed cake and lots of delicious eats. Oh and one of the highlight was that we had to dress up 70s or disco styled.
I forget the name of this blue drink but can you believe there was an actual mini bar here!? It was so awesome.
There were lots and lots of good eats such shrimp, crackers, olives, ham, and salami.
Now I want to go to an 50s, 80s, and 90s dance parties! Have you guys been to decade themed party before? If so, which decade?
