The Cronut Mania
I’m pretty sure many of you heard about this whole cronut craze and wonder what’s the big deal. Well it’s apparently a big deal to many people that people are still waiting in line for a cronut. It was only about 2 months ago that the cronut craze first started and took people by storm.
You ask, what is a cronut? Well it’s a breed between a doughnut and croissant which is then deep-fried to flaky goodness! What can you possibly not like about those two combination? Who ever made the name and the recipe is brilliant and it makes me wonder why it wasn’t called the doughissant. Hmm on second thought I think cronut sounds much better.
So you heard about the cronut, so now you want to get one right? But then you ask yourself where can you get cronuts? You’ve come to the right place my friends and if you’re in the Orange County or LA county you’re just in luck.
But before I list the shops that offer these lovely cronuts, I have to mention the creator of the cronut, Dominique Ansel who resides in New York City and was awarded “Top 10 Pastry Chefs in the United States” and he’s supposedly the creator of this masterpiece.
