Class in session for Taiwanese food!
Calling all students and non students alike, class is now in session at Class 302 Cafe. Well at least it’s a restaurant in a classroom setting.Just because the kids are out of school doesn’t mean you can’t go back during the summer. The tables, the chairs, and the chalkboard will surely make it seem like you’re a student in Taiwan. The only complaints I had about the seating was that the tables were so sticky that my napkin would get stuck and the chairs…omg they were so short and so uncomfortable! After I came back to my seat after washing my hands I literally just dropped onto my chair and man did it hurt.
Class 302 Cafe offers Taiwanese cuisines, Desserts, and Bubble Tea which is popular among young people and families. My friend “J” and I met up to catch up on life and it was actually not too busy so it was a perfect day. The only worry we had was that someone might order the Stinky Tofu. I am told that it’s tasty but oh so stinky!
For something small the BBQ corn is a good choice but it’s definitely not worth the price for only 2 corn. I believe it was around $3, but you can be the judge of that.
Knowing this place is a boba place, getting one is a must. I needed a little pick-me-up so I ordered the mocha boba which was delish.
Another good and typical Taiwanese appetizer is the popcorn chicken. There was nothing special about it and we had to ask for more of the spicy powder. Dipping each popcorn into that makes all the difference in the world.
Even in a hot day, you will find people ordering hot soup. This Pork Dumpling Soup is a good choice because it’s not too heavy on the carbs but it’s heavy on the oil as you can see from the picture.
