Break of Dawn Serving Gourmet Breakfast

Last weekend, my fiancé and I had our photo shoot for our engagement. After all the fun picture taking, we decided to grab some breakfast from a place called Break of Dawn. The place has more than a thousand four star reviews on Yelp so we just had to try it out and plus the pictures of the food looked amazing. [caption id="attachment_19264" align="alignnone" width="600"] Break of Dawn Menu with pig eating eggs and bacon![/caption] Chef  Dee Nguyen was the Executive Sous Chef position at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel and now he's here dishing up gourmet Asian fusion breakfast at the Break of Dawn. [caption id="attachment_19265" align="alignnone" width="600"] Break of Dawn Iced Vietnamese Coffee & Iced water in mason jar[/caption] We've been having some June gloom weather, but it was still nice enough to sit outdoors. I ordered Iced Vietnamese coffee, I wanted warm but the server didn't hear me. The coffee was tasty, but I prefer the Lee's Iced Coffee. [caption id="attachment_19266" align="alignnone" width="600"] Break of Dawn Ranchero Omelette Chorizo, Charred Tomatillo, Epazote, Queso Fresco, Avocado[/caption] The Mac N Cheese looked amazing but I wanted more of a breakfast menu item. I'm not a big fan of chorizo but I gave it a try. I ordered the Ranchero Omelette which is made with chorizo, bacon, epazole, requeson, avocado, and charred tomatillo sauce. I really enjoyed this plate because it had a lot of cheese! The bacon and the chorizo was a great combination with the omeletter and the potatoes were perfectly browned. He ordered the Spanish Meatloaf which was simply amazing. It's made with barley, potato, bell peppers, Manchego, pinenut fried eggs and tomato cream gravy. I really enjoyed the texture of the meatloaf and the tomato cream gravy which was perfect with my browned potatoes. [caption id="attachment_19267" align="alignnone" width="600"] Break of Dawn Bison Sausage Sun-Dried Tomato, Peanut, Lemon-Garlic Confit, Spinach, Onyx Sticky Rice[/caption] Umbelievable ordered the Bison Sausage which is made with sun-dried tomato, peanut, lemon-garlic confit, and really dark colored rice called Onyx sticky rice. [caption id="attachment_19270" align="alignnone" width="600"] Break of Dawn Bacon and Eggs and Fried Rice[/caption] Curiousro ordered the Bacon & Egg. Look at the big piece of delicious bacon! There are so many unique elements to this gourmet breakfast. The poached egg is deep fried, you're served with a bowl of fried rice, you get a big ol' piece of crispy bacon, napa slaw, and kimchi spiced crema. Beautiful plate for breakfast wouldn't you say? If you're looking for a gourmet breakfast experience with an Asian twist to it, I recommend Break of Dawn.
