If you’re looking for a unique treat to try out in LA, then you need to check out Atticus Creamery & Pies. This dessert joint recently opened November 2014 and is getting a lot of attention from people with sweet tooth such as myself.
I was honored to be able to do some taste testing and trying out their delectable unique ice cream flavors as well as their delicious mini pies.
Not only does this place serve ice cream on a cone or waffle cone, you could even get it sandwiched in between cookies.
There are great assortment of ice cream flavors such as Sweet Corn, Honey Honeycomb (their best seller and I can taste why!), Nutella Ferrorocher, Brownie A La Mode (brownie lovers will love this), Potato Chip Chocolate, Cream & Milk, York Peppermint, Orange Limeade Sorbet, Caramel Macchiato, and so much more!
Some of my favorites were the York Peppermint, Brownie A La Mode, Cream & Milk, and Honey Honeycomb. The ice cream is creamy, dense and the level of sweetness is just right. I’m a big coffee lover so I just had to get the Caramel macchiato. What I enjoyed most about it was the strong coffee taste and there was actual small coffee grounds in it. Loved it.
“G” got a scoop of Cereal & Milk Ice Cream. Yes you read correctly. It has bits of Rice Krispies & Frosted Flakes in it so it’s like you’re having breakfast as dessert. He says it is the best ice cream flavor he has ever tasted! Red Velvet anything is always his favorite but after trying this flavor, he firmly believes it’s the best flavor. I would have to agree with him that it tastes amazing and is definitely unique that you will have to try.
Lets get to the pies. Customers can sample each pie pieces in case you can’t decide. There are many different flavors that you can choose from. Each pie is hand crafted using only the finest ingredients.
Each pie consists of 4 layers, the bottom, filling, light cream, and toppings. Aren’t these pies just beautiful?
More views of the variety of mini pies offered here.
There are some of the more popular flavors, the Coconut banana, Lemon Lavender, Salted caramel popcorn.
I really enjoyed the Earl Grey pie because it really tastes like Earl Grey as actual tea leaves were used. “G” enjoyed the Strawberry Pistachio so we took that one to go as well as the Earl Grey pie.
There are some cute decor I just had to take pictures of. Aren’t these little pots so cute?
That’s right, these mini pies are fresh baked pies.
I would totally recommend this to ice cream and dessert lovers!
