Anaheim Packing House Tour

[caption id="attachment_18786" align="alignnone" width="600"] Afternoon at Anaheim Packing House[/caption] I was so excited to finally visit the Anaheim Packing House. I remember when this whole area was closed off and there was nothing around but my friend "E" told us the city is planning to make it into a cool new hip place with food, drinks, and a bunch of fun stuff. "G", umbelievable, thecuriousro and I arrived around 5ish and the sun was still out with lots of people checking out the place and enjoying the outdoors at a park right next to it. [caption id="attachment_18840" align="alignnone" width="600"] Crepe Coop Crepes being made at the Anaheim Packing District[/caption] Enough chat, let's go straight to the food vendors! There are yummy places to eat so I'll try to post them individually. Here is a very popular dessert spot called the Crepe Coop and here you see the staff making the crepes right in front of you. People are all long the stall waiting for their crepe masterpiece to be made. [caption id="attachment_18828" align="alignnone" width="600"] Candy and chocolate self serve at the Anaheim Packing District[/caption] You'll feel like a kid again when you see all these candies in a jar at buy'n bulk. It's self serve and you pay by the weight. How fun is that right? Mmmm look at all the chocolate candies. [caption id="attachment_18811" align="alignnone" width="600"] Han's Homemade Ice Cream: Chocolate covered ice cream cones and ice cream cookie sandwich[/caption] If you're craving some delicious ice cream cones, frozen bananas, floats and cookie sandwiches, head over the Han's Homemade Ice Cream. There's a long line so be sure to get there fast! It's so colorful and beautiful and make it feel like a small town farmer's market. [caption id="attachment_18798" align="alignnone" width="600"] The Chippy Fish and Grill Beer bottles[/caption] The Chippy Fish & Grill will grab your attention almost immediately. It sure caught mine as I was trying to take pictures of the cool display of beer bottles above the counter top. There were many people walking by but they were nice enough to stop so I could take the picture. [caption id="attachment_18815" align="alignnone" width="600"] Wheat & Sons meat and cheese display[/caption] There are display of meats and cheese from Wheat & Sons. [caption id="attachment_18810" align="alignnone" width="600"] Georgia's Restaurant at the Anaheim Packing District[/caption] I didn't get to see what Georgia's was all about but they dish up Southern Style comfort food such as corn on cob, BBQ ribs, home-made mac n cheese, and pork ribs. [caption id="attachment_18805" align="alignnone" width="600"] Metal beer kegs the Anaheim Packing District[/caption] There are cool looking metal kegs on display. [caption id="attachment_18807" align="alignnone" width="600"] Metal beer kegs the Anaheim Packing District[/caption] You can even see each of the kegs attached to the pipe.   [caption id="attachment_18829" align="alignnone" width="600"] Anaheim Packing District Ceiling decoration with plants and lights[/caption] There is just so much stuff going on at the Packing House. When you walk in, be sure to check out the details in the ceiling and the surroundings. There are plants on the ceiling, the 2nd floor and even on the first floor making it look like a green house. Though this place can get really packed, surprisingly there are plenty of seats for everyone to sit down. You can't help but appreciate the beautiful plants all lined up on the 2nd floor. [caption id="attachment_18841" align="alignnone" width="600"] Band at the Anaheim Packing House[/caption] Later in the evening, the local band went on to play some music. The crowd got bigger and bigger and we were hanging around listening to the band jamming away. There is live music all weekend so be sure to check it out on a weekend! [caption id="attachment_18843" align="alignnone" width="600"] Evening at Anaheim Packing House[/caption] We were here from daylight to nightlight where the Packing House is illuminated with lights! Be sure to check them out, especially if you're a foodie or have never been here before. Anaheim Packing House is located at 440 S Anaheim Blvd Anaheim, CA 92805. It is open at 9am for coffee and juice and DAILY at 10:30am for lunch and dinner.
