On our second full day at the park, we decided to return to one of our favorite hikes. Last year, we hiked the Yellowstone Trout lake & the buck lake trail, but we weren’t able to get to the shrimp lake so this time we wanted to trace it and check it out.
Trout Lake:
Location: Northeast Section (See map to the right)
Difficulty: Easy – As short as it gets
Distance: .9 mi/1.4 km as a loop
Elevation Gain: 200 ft.
From Trout Lake, you can decide to make your way to Buck Lake and Shrimp Lake.
