Simple Truth Extreme Peanut Butter Protein Bar

After a good strength training it’s said that getting enough protein is the best way to help build those muscles. So when you can’t get the right meal or shake you can at least eat a protein bar. I read on Livestrong.com that women are supposed to have .8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight each day. But intake of protein should be greater after a workout suggesting 1.4 to 2 grams per kilogram for both men and women per “The Journal”.
Journey Bar real food energy that won't let you down
According to The Journal it is suggested that an intake closer to 1.4 to 2 grams per kilogram, or 0.64 to 0.91 grams per pound may be more suitable for both men and women.
Simple Truth Extreme Peanut Butter Protein Bar was something I’ve been meaning to try. So I couldn’t wait until it was breakfast time to try it. I checked how many calories where were and there’s 210 calories for this tiny piece of bar. It’s very disappointing it’s high in calories but it was yummy. I’m usually skeptical of protein bars because they usually taste pretty chalky and like iron but I didn’t taste it in this one. And the other bars usually has a weird after taste but this one was okay.

Is it just me of have you noticed that majority of protein bars have a weird after taste? It tastes like rusty iron and fake sugar but this specific bar didn’t and that’s why I liked it. What I also liked was that it kept me full the whole morning. The cons is that it has too much grams of sugar, it’s tiny for a lot of calories, and not peanut buttery enough.

I really enjoyed the Pro Bar since it was very peanut butter and I’m a huge peanut butter fan 🙂

I’ve only seen the Simple Truth Brand at Ralph’s Market.
