I had no idea why people were crazy over Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen. When I think of ramen, I thought the Maruchan or instant cup noodle so it never caught my attention. My bf took me here and told me that they have amazing ramen here. Good thing he told me because if he never introduced me to this place I never would have known. I’ve totally would’ve been missing out on the amazing flavor of the broth and the delicious melt in your mouth pork belly. There are two side to the restaurant in Fountain Valley. One side is a much smaller dining room as they only serve ramen and there’s always a line here. The waiters, waitress, and the cooks are constantly running around welcoming customers in Japanese as well as communicating loudly with the cooks. And the other side is the actual restaurant that has much more room and is a more slow paced and relaxed environment.

When you come here, they make it the way you want it to be made. You can choose from how strong you want the broth, how soft or hard you want the noodles, toppings for the ramen, and so much more.

Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen is not limited to just ramen as they also have Yakitori, Chanko, Haktata Mizutaki, Motsu-Nabe, Shabu-Shabu/Sukiyaki, Udon, Sushi, Sundobu and Robata.

I love food and taking pictures of them and consider myself to be a big foodie! My favorite meal of the day is breakfast since it’s full of delicious items such as pancakes, waffles, bacon, and french toast. Coffee is a must for the morning because of the wonderful aroma and the taste. I love dark chocolates, but I like to have an occasional milk or white chocolate.
