Mezza Mediterranean Grill: A Second Visit On Valentine’s Day

We went Mezza Mediterranean Grill a while back in October of last year and because of the awesome experience, we decided to come back during Valentine’s Day. It was a perfect night to come here even though many of the seats were for the reserved. There was one open table and luckily we were seated right away.

Battaa Harra

This one particular potato dish from out last visit was simply amazing so we just had to order it again. I didn’t remember what it was called but luckily, reading the description on the menu really helped out. It’s called the Battaa Harra again which is made of cubes of fresh fried potatoes sautéed with crushed garlic, lemon juice, and cilantro for $6.50.

Pita chips & Sesame dip

To bring down your hunger pangs, Mezza offers complimentary pita chips with a unique sesame dip made of olive oil, spices, and sesame seeds. I noticed the chips were much more thin compared to ones like Stacy’s Pita Chips.

Garlic Butter

Make sure you ask for the garlic butter because it’s simply garlic heaven! You may despise garlic but you can’t deny how delicious this dip is, perfect to dip pita bread, pita chips, chicken, steak, and just about everything.

I wanted to be adventurous and order something new. I went a step further and got their new menu item Phoenician Chicken – 15.99 which is marinated chicken sautéed with crushed garlic, chopped onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, red peppers and topped with cilantro.

Filet Mignon Kabob (USDA Prime Angus)

“G” ordered Filet Mignon Kabob (USDA Prime Angus) – 18.99 which is tender juicy pieces of filet mignon, cooked over an open fire. It’s served on a bed of rice with your choice of regular hummus, spicy hummus or baba ganouj and your choice of fatoush or tabouleh salad.

It was the first time I’ve tried the Tabouleh – 6.99 which is made of chopped parsley, fresh mint, diced tomatoes, diced onion, and cracked wheat with olive oil and lemon juice on a bed of lettuce. I got it as one of my side and then spicy hummus.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, “G” ordered beer and I ordered a glass of riesling white wine which was refreshing and bubbly 🙂
