Korean cookie (Yak Gwa) 약과

Korean cookie (Yak Gwa) 약과 which is traditional Korean cookie. They are served for New Years and Korean Thanksgiving and other occasions. I usually like to treat myself to this cookie once in a while since it’s highly greasy, but it’s only around 150 cal for each. They have a chewy and sticky texture and tastes like it was fried in sweet oil. The cookie is traditionally made of honey, sesame oil, and wheat flour, but now with the manufacturing process, the ingredients have changed. Now I’m craving this cookie as I’m typing!

Where can you buy Yak Gwa? You can buy it from your local Korean market like H-Mart or other Korean markets.

I love food and taking pictures of them and consider myself to be a big foodie! My favorite meal of the day is breakfast since it's full of delicious items such as pancakes, waffles, bacon, and french toast. Coffee is a must for the morning because of the wonderful aroma and the taste. I love dark chocolates, but I like to have an occasional milk or white chocolate.
