The Original Pancake House is for those who love pancakes, waffles, crepes, and other breakfast item. I was so excited to try this place out since I’ve heard about the place and because breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.
You can’t start the morning without coffee so I ordered some and used some cream.
As we waited for our food, I took the time to take some pictures of the interior. I really like this Coffee Break artwork. It motivated me to draw something like this myself and frame it!
What to choose, what to choose. I really wanted waffles. And pancakes. Ooo, crepes!? I had to decide on something and I’ve been meaning to try the Dutch Baby for the longest since I heard about it.
Look at my beautiful Dutch Baby! Everyone was eyeballing it when it was delivered to me. The Dutch Baby is a German pancake which is oven baked and served with powdered sugar, lemon wedges to squeeze on the pancake, and butter. This pancake is unique because it is baked and forms a crater.
Want to make your own Dutch Baby at home? Now you can with Norpro 11.5 Inch Nonstick Dutch Baby Pan which is also great for omelets, stir-fry, crepes, and paella.
I had to eat it quick before it starts to deflate. It kept its shape for a good while as I took pictures of it.
When I saw this German pancake, I expected a crispy light bite, but it was not what I expected.
I took a slice out of the Dutch Baby and the cake was more moist than I expected compared to the American pancake. It consists of just flour, eggs, and milk. Simple. I was happy I was able to finally experience eating a Dutch Baby.
