The day was cold, perfect to grab hot soup. My friends and I went to The Boiling Point since she suggested it was really good. Lines were somewhat long but people were getting seated right away. As we waited in the front, we gazed at the menu which is placed right above the waiting area. That's one nice thing about waiting because you can decide which meal number to choose AND there's even a picture of what it looks like!

With a long wait, it's no wonder the joint has a cool high-tech way of signing into the tablet where then it prints out your number.

One of the main reason why I was set on getting the beef was because of the small corn on the cob. Funny thing was that it was my friend's reason for getting it too. Service was fast as the waiter asked for the Hot Pot type, the level of spice, whether you want rice of vermicelli, and green or black sweet tea! Be sure to try out the sauces that are on the table. One is a mix between spicy hot paste with miso paste.

Both are equally tasty to dip the meat in your soup with or just plain top it on the rice. The Hot Pot is literally a hot pot that will start boiling once the serve ignites the flame on the mini stove. This was such an experience for me as I have never tried anything like it.  The Beef Hot Pot broth was much more oily than what I expected but once the it was boiling, the oil seemed to move to the side. I ordered the medium and boy was that spicy. There were a few people coughing because of the spice and next thing I knew, I was doing the same. Not only is Boiling Point known for their hot pots but also the Hong Kong Tea which is usually sold out fast and also their macaroon ice cream sandwich!

There was so much food left over that my friends and I all took the food to go. The staff was super kind and helpful, plus even got us the awesome sauces to go!
Boiling Point is located at 14140 Culver Dr Ste A Irvine, CA 92606.
