After a workout, your muscles need protein to repair the muscles you used. Its best to consume something within 30 mins of working out.
Here are a list of foods thats beneficial to help repair muscles and replenish lost minerals:
Chia seeds: They are high in protein and omega fatty acids. I just bought a resealable package from Trader Joe’s and you can add it into oatmeal, sprinkle it on a salad, or add a tablespoon in your favorite shake.
Chia seed smoothie
2 cups of Silk Almond Milk
2 tbs chia seeds
1 ripe banana
1 cup of frozen of fixed berries
2 packets Truvia natural sweetner.
Chia seed oatmeal
1/2 cup steel cut oatmeal
1 tbs chia seeds
1 ripe banana or thawed frozen fruits
3/4 cup Silk Almond Milk
1. Add oatmeal and chia seed mixed into a serving bowl.
2. Boil almond milk and pour into bowl and cover for about 3 mins.
3. Mash banana into bowl and mix.
